Mangalpur, Nepal
Ashna Home was founded in 2005 with the mission of supporting children who have lost their parents or come from single-parent households that cannot provide for them. Since its establishment, 51 children have successfully graduated and moved on to lead fulfilling lives. This achievement reflects the kindness and generosity of compassionate individuals like you, who are dedicated to helping those in need. We firmly believe that even small acts of kindness can lead to significant positive changes in many lives.
However, the recent government policy mandating that children leave the orphanage at 16 or after completing the SEE exam is deeply troubling. This policy risks undermining the aspirations of these young individuals who wish to become responsible citizens and make positive contributions to society. In response, we have launched the Transitional Living Project in Nepal, which aims to secure the futures of these children by constructing at least four homes where they can continue to grow and thrive.
Later this year, following our visit to Nepal, 100 Orphanages is proud to announce that we will become a financial sponsor of Ashna Home. This partnership will enable us to provide vital support for the Transitional Living Project, helping to ensure that the new homes are built and that these children have a safe and nurturing environment as they transition into adulthood.
Below, you’ll find recent photos of the ongoing construction and our plans for the site. We are confident that our work will inspire you, and we invite you to join us in supporting these deserving children on their journey to a brighter future.
